Kona clearly loves the water, esepecially when she can splash in it. She is a surprisingly good swimmer already, but she is too scared to jump in off the dock. She has fallen a few times (well, practically pushed in by Poacher), but has done very well getting back to shore. It is incredibly entertaining to watch her splash the water, then chase the splashes, therefore, creating more.

Or, my favorite, bring the toy back, and with all his enthusiasm for the water, forget to drop it so we can throw it again, and just jump right back in with the toy still in his mouth...What a self-sufficient dog!

Well, most of you who know us well, know that we like to spend as much time up at the lake. We didn't make it up this weekend, so I thought I'd take another look at our pictures from the 4th of July. We had a great time with family and, of course, or dogs. From boating, riding four wheelers to some amazing spots, and playing fetch, we hardly had any down time. The real excitement came when we got home...but that's another story.
